Friday night in a 53rd district matchup the Knott County Central Lady Patriots turned a 5 point halftime lead into a 24 point win over the Letcher County Central Lady Cougars.  The final was 75-51.    LCC is now 11-8 on the season and now 4-1 in the district.  Knott Central improves to to 14-6 and stay unbeaten at 5-0 in the district.

The Lady Cougars will play Perry County Central tonight at home.  JV at 6.  Varsity at 7:30 and we'll bring you the game live here on the Bulldog.  The Appalachian Wireless pre-game show begins at 7.

The Jenkins Lady Cavaliers lost to Wolfe County at home Saturday 61-42.   They next play Hazard at home on Thursday and at Letcher County Central on Saturday.

The Letcher County Central Cougar boys picked up a 14th Region win Saturday at home beating Estill County 71-48.   The 12-6 Cougars will take on Knott County Central at LCC in a huge district game tomorrow night.  JV plays at 6 with varsity at 7:30.  We'll bring you the KCC-LCC boys game tomorrow night here on the Bulldog.  Pre-game begins at 7.

LCC will also play Jenkins at home Friday and at Powell County Saturday afternoon. 

The Jenkins Cavalier boys lost Friday at home to Leslie County 76-42 and lost Saturday at Cordia 61-27.

Maci Morris scored 18 points and had a career-high nine rebounds as the Kentucky women’s basketball team won its fourth straight game, beating Auburn 64-60 in a back-and-forth contest on Sunday afternoon at Auburn Arena.

KY is now 14-6 and 5-2 in the SEC and will return to action Thursday against Ole Miss in Lexington.  TIpoff is at 7pm.

The #5 ranked UK men overcame a sprained ankle to starting guard De-Aaron Fox on Saturday to beat #24 South Carolina at home 85-69 and take over sole possession of 1st place in the SEC.  Malik Monk had 27 and Bam Adebayo added 18 for the Cats who are now 17-2 overall and 7-0 in the SEC.

KY will visit Tennessee tomorrow night at 9pm from Knoxville.  We'll join the UK Tennessee game right before tipoff tomorrow night here on the Bulldog immediately following our coverage of the LCC Knott Central boys game.
