The Letcher County Central Cougar boys picked up a big district win last night on the road over Cordia 69-59.   Torrell Carter had 39 to lead the Cougars, who have won 5 of their last 6 games and improve to 17-8 overall.

The LCC boys will next play at Leslie County on Thursday.  The next home game for the LCC boys will be Saturday against Union VA and it will be senior night for the Cougars.  We'll bring you the Saturday game here on the Bulldog with tipoff at 7:30 and pre-game at 7.

Also last night the Letcher County Central Lady Cougars beat Cordia in a road district game to improve to 15-11 overall.  They will next take on Shelby Valley at home Saturday afternoon.  JV at 2.  Varsity at 3:30.

Wenyen Gabriel scored a career-high 23 points, Malik Monk also had 23 and No. 15 Kentucky withstood a late LSU rally for a 92-85 home victory last night.

The Cats improve to 19-5 overall and 9-2 in the SEC.
