In high school baseball from Monday,

Letcher County Central picked up their first win of the season beating Jenkins on the road 11-1 in 5 innings.

The Cougars will next play at Harlan on Thursday at 6pm and at Hazard Saturday morning at 11am. 

Jenkins will next play at Shelby Valley this evening at 6 and at Oneida Baptist on Thursday. 

In other Monday baseball scores....

Knott County Central over Buckhorn 13-3 in 5 innings
Perry Central 14 Harlan 4
Shelby Valley got by Belfry 4-3 and PIkeville beat Pike County Central 9-3.

In High School Softball....

The Jenkins Lady Cavaliers lost at East Ridge on Monday.  They will next play at Knott County Central tonight at 6 and at Prestonsburg Thursday at 6.

The Letcher County Central Lady Cougars will next play at Harlan County this Thursday at 6.

Perry County Central shut out Buckhorn 15-0 in 3 innings
and it was Shelby Valley over South Floyd 18-5 in 5 innings.

The LCEAA Letcher County Middle School Volleyball Tournament begins tonight at Letcher Middle School Gym with Cowan playing Jenkins at 6pm followed by Fleming Neon taking on Arlie Boggs at 7:30.
Letcher and Whitesburg received byes to the 2nd round.  2nd round games will be played Wednesday at 6 and 7:30 with the championshp game Sunday at 3:30pm at Letcher County Central. 

The UK Wildcats Cats will now move on to Memphis for the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament and will take on #3 seed UCLA Friday night.  The Cats game against UCLA will tipoff around 9:40pm Friday.  Pre-game begins at 8pm right here on 103-9TheBulldog.
