The Appalachian News Express reports at the December 14 Pikeville Independent Schools Board of Education special meeting, the Superintendent said the district will be undergoing a trial of a return to a program used during the Covid-19 pandemic which allowed the district to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students but after a while was only for Pikeville Elementary. It’s set to start at the High School January 3 and go through May 20. They are encouraging families to participate.
