Hazard is reportedly getting an electric vehicle charging station that will be installed at Perry County Park. At this week’s Fiscal Court meeting the Community Development Coordinator said it’s through a Tennessee Tech program that provides the station at no cost to the city and trains city workers how to install and maintain it. The Hazard Herald reports officials said it’s not only important for residents but also for attracting tourists. They say it will be compatible with various EV makes including Ford, Chevy, and Tesla.
