#4 Kentucky Loses 70-66 at Clemson

Coach Mark Pope suffered his first loss of his Kentucky coaching career as the Cats lost to the Clemson Tigers on the road 70-66 at a loud Littlejohn Coliseum in the SEC/ACC Challenge.

#4 Kentucky shot poorly from 3-point land, was outrebounded and had a tough time with the Clemson defense as they fall to 7-1 on the season.

Kentucky was led in scoring by Otega Oweh with 17 points, Lamont Butler with 16 and Jaxon Robinson put in 12.

Amari Williams had 9 points and 11 rebounds.

The Cats will continue the early season with another tough opponent as they head to the west coast to face #7 Gonzaga this Saturday night at 10:00pm eastern in what they are billing at the “Battle in Seattle”.
