The 53rd District softball semifinal games were played at Knott County Central last night. In game one, Knott County Central beat Jenkins 8-1 and it was Letcher County Central over Cordia 16-0 in 3 innings.
Letcher County Central will now face Knott County Central in the 53rd district softball championship game on Wednesday at 6:00pm at Knott County Central.
We will also broadcast the 53rd District softball championship game tomorrow night from Knott County Central here on the Bulldog with Michael Watts and Greg “Bull” Creech.
First pitch will be at 6:00pm.
Pregame will begin at 5:45pm here on the Bulldog.
In the other softball districts that make up the 14th Region:
In the 54th, Perry County Central faces Hazard tomorrow night at 5:30pm in the championship game at Leslie County.
In the 55th, Wolfe County takes on Breathitt County tomorrow at 6:00pm in the championship game at Wolfe County.
And in the 56th District, Estill County will face Powell County at 6:00pm tomorrow in the championship game at Owsley County.
The 14th Region Tournaments will be played next week with the boys baseball at Knott County Central and the girls softball at Perry County Central.
