Letcher County Hamfest is this Saturday. Hamfest is a national event to teach and promote amateur radio use across the country.
The Letcher County Amateur Radio Club says Hamfest is set for Saturday August 10 from 8am to Noon at the Mountain Shrine Club in Whitesburg.
They say it is open to anyone who uses and enjoys communications tools including the General Mobile Radio Service, CB’s, scanners and anyone interested in learning.
There will be door prizes and testing at 9am to become licensed.
