A Pike County man is charged with attempted murder a police officer for an incident in Berea last week.
Berea Police say on April 29 officers responded to an alert about a stolen car spotted outside a store.
Officers waited for the driver to return and when three people got in, several officers surrounded the car with their vehicles.
The Appalachian News Express cites a police report alleging the driver, Dustin Allen of Ashcamp, slammed the car into reverse and hit an officer, pinning him against a police vehicle.
