Letcher County is having a free Kids Fishing Day on Saturday May 31 at Fish Pond
Lake.
The event is free to attend, and you do not need a fishing license to participate.
Each child will need to be accompanied by at least one adult.
They suggest you bring your own pole and bait.
Letcher County Judge Executive Terry Adams will be giving away some bait and Sheriff Billy Jones will have some fishing poles to borrow but both of those will be a limited amount so bring your own if you can.
There will be a free lunch provided by CANE Kitchen to the first 100 kids.
