Randy Allen Cook

Randy Allen Cook, age 64, of Sandlick, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the Whitesburg ARH. 

He is survived by his mother: Maggie Sexton Cook of Campbranch; his wife: Patricia Cook; 3 children: Randy Creedence Cook of Lexington, Patricia Camille Ison of Whitesburg and Candice Holly Cook of Whitesburg; 2 brothers: Mike Cook of Campbranch and Mark Cook of Kona; 2 sisters: Sandy Cook of Campbranch and Earnestine Franks of Campbranch along with 7 grandchildren.

Funeral services for Randy Allen Cook will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Frank Holbrook officiating. 

Visitation will be after 6:00pm this evening, Monday, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. 

Burial will follow in the Haven of Rest Cemetery at Mayking.

The Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg is in charge of the arrangements.

Phillip Eugene Boggs

Phillip Eugene Boggs, age 67, of Cumberland, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the Tri-Cities Nursing and Rehab Center in Cumberland.

He is survived by 1 son of West Virginia; two sisters: Phyllis Boggs of Cumberland and Emma Cottrell of West Virginia.

Visitation will be after 1:00pm this afternoon, Monday, June 2, 2025, at the Tri City Funeral Home at Benham.

Graveside services will follow at 2:00pm this afternoon, Monday at the Maggard Family Cemetery in Partridge with Glenn Cornett officiating.

The Tri-City Funeral Home of Benham is in charge of the arrangements.

Janice Diane Blair, age 57, of Redfox, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the Hazard ARH.

She is survived by:

Funeral services for Janice Diane Blair will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel, with Reggie Hall and Dylan Combs officiating. 

Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 9:00pm Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at the Hindman Funeral Services with additional services at 7:00pm.

Brantley Tony David Brasher, age 5, passed away on Thursday, May 29,2025 at the MUSC Children’s Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. 

He is survived by his parents, Rodney and Audrea Brasher of Cumberland; One brother: Peyton Brasher of Providence, Kentucky; Two sisters: Hannah Cornett and Destiny Cornett both of Cumberland; Maternal grandmother: Elsie Cornett of Cumberland; Paternal grandmother: Debbie Littlepage of Madisonville, Kentucky and Maternal great grandmother: Daisy Boggs of Cumberland.

Visitation will be after 5:00pm Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at the Gilliam Chapel in Cumberland.

Funeral services for Brantley Tony David Brasher will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at the Gilliam Chapel in Cumberland.

Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.
