Brenda Sue Boggs Ratliff
Brenda Sue Boggs Ratliff, age 69 of Kingscreek, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.
She is survived by 1 son: Donald Ratliff of Kingscreek; 1 daughter: April Miller of Kingscreek; 3 brothers: David Jr Boggs, Gary Wayne Boggs and Randy Jo Boggs all of Cowan; 2 sisters: Faye Martin of Whitesburg and Dana Marie Sturgill of London and 2 grandchildren: Ricky Michael Miller and Ethan Davidson Miller both of Kingscreek.
Funeral Services for Brenda Sue Boggs Ratliff will be held at 11:00M this morning, Monday, June 23, 2025, at the Cowan Chapel Church with Josh Sturgill and Sonny Martin officiating.
Burial will follow in the Ratliff Cemetery at Kingscreek.
The Letcher Funeral Home in Whitesburg is in charge of the arrangements.

Jacob Dylan Duncan
Jacob Dylan Duncan, age 22, of Cleveland, Tennessee, formerly of Letcher County, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Erlanger Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga.
He is survived by his parents: Vernon and Rebecca Duncan; maternal grandmother, Janice Gibson; maternal aunt Cheryl Gibson and maternal uncle Greg Gibson; paternal aunts Rozetta Adams and Novella Sexton; paternal uncle Donnie Duncan; and numerous cousins.
Local funeral services for Jacob Dylan Duncan will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home chapel in Whitesburg with Travis Hall officiating.
Visitation will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm with the service to follow at 1:00pm Tuesday.
The family request in lieu of flowers, Memorials be made to Lana’s Love Foundation or to The Grayson Foundation.
