Brenda Sturgill, age 74, of Eolia, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Baptist Health in Lexington.
She is survived by three daughters: Julie Kenny, Regeneia Jefferson and Ginger Carter; two sisters: Sandra Hampton and Marsha Caudill; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Brend Sturgill will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, July 21, 2025 at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home, Jenkins Chapel with Ron Oplinger officiating.
Burial will follow in the American Legion Cemetery on Pine Mountain.
Visitation will begin after 5:00pm this evening, Sunday, at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home, Jenkins Chapel.
The Hall & Jones Funeral Home, Jenkins Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

James Emanuel Amburgey, Sr.
James Emanuel Amburgey, Sr., age 85, of Cumberland, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the Harlan ARH.
James is survived by one son: James E. Amburgey Jr. of Kannapolis, North Carolina; two brothers: Enos and Eddie Amburgey both of Indiana; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild and special friend, Carolyn Wade, of Cumberland.
A memorial service for James Emanuel Amburgey, Sr. will be announced at a later date.
