We’re learning more about the standoff at the Dollar General in Harold Monday that left
a Virginia man dead.
Kentucky State Police say Henry Foster of Raven was killed by troopers who had responded to the store off KY-680 near KY-979 on reports that he had allegedly tried to enter several vehicles and ask people for a ride.
KSP says when troopers arrived Foster had a firearm and was making threats.
While attempting to de-escalate, a trooper ended up opening fire and Foster died at the scene.
According to WYMT, deputies had tried to find Foster Sunday night after he ran following a crash.
