Rosa Breeding

Rosa Breeding, age 88, of Little Colley, passed away on Sunday August 31, 2025 at the Whitesburg ARH.

She is survived by one daughter: Myra Lachman Kentucky; 2 sisters: Mary Pugh of Red Fox and Brenda Brown of West Liberty; 1 brother: Gary Joe Bennett of Isom; 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Rosa Breeding will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at the at the Little Colley Pentecostal Church with Tim Allen and Nicky Spicer officiating.

Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.

The Everidge Funeral Home of Whitesburg is in charge of the arrangements.

Brandon Wayne Robinson, B-Rob

Brandon Wayne Robinson, B-Rob, age 42, of Colson and formerly of Cumberland, passed away on Sunday August 31, 2025 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Robinson, his mother in law, Gayle Whitaker, his babies Linus and Icy and thousands of friends he called family.

Funeral services for Brandon Wayne Robinson, B-Rob will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at the Whitesburg First Baptist Church with Bufford Combs and others officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Bill Adams Cemetery at Colson.

In lieu of flowers to continue his legacy, donations are suggested to Grey Matters Whitesburg.

Lonnie Carol Bentley (Big Lonnie)

Lonnie Carol Bentley (Big Lonnie), age 78, of Barnesville, Georgia, formerly of Letcher County, passed away late in the evening on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at his residence.

Lonnie is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Jean and multiple children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren. 

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00pm Thursday at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home, Jenkins Chapel. 

Funeral services for Lonnie Carol Bentley (Big Lonnie) will be held on Friday at 11:00am at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home, Jenkins Chapel with Debra Bruner-Smith officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens at Powell Valley, VA. 

The Hall & Jones Funeral Home, Jenkins Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Mark Evan Rigney

Mark Evan Rigney, age 58, of Cumberland passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025.

He is survived by two children: Thomas Evan Boggs and Colleen Boggs Pendleton; except-wife: Teresa Boggs; son-in-law; Derik Dewayne Pendleton; 3 grandchildren; four brothers: Terry Rigney, Reggie Rigney, Carlos Rigney and Lawrence Rigney.

A Celebration of Life for Mark Evan Rigney will be held at 1:00 on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the Tri City Funeral Home at Benham.  

Military honors will be performed by the Harlan County Honor Guard.

The Tri-City Funeral Home of Benham is in charge of the arrangements.
