Lawton Daniel Sexton (aka Pap), age 66, of Cornettsville, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard.
He is survived by 4 sisters: Colletta Bates of Nancy, Brenda Caudill of Geneva, Ohio, Linda Amburgey of Independence, KY and Theresa Blair of Cornettsville and 1 brother: Billy Dean Sexton.
Visitation will be at 11:00am this morning, Monday, September 8, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services for Lawton Daniel Sexton (aka Pap) will follow at 1:00pm this afternoon, Monday, September 8, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Phillip Smith, Richard Hampton, Danny Dixon and Johnny Sexton officiating.
Burial will follow in the Collins Cemetery at Ulvah.
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.
The Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg is in charge of the arrangements.

James Paul Campbell, age 50, of Cornettsville, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the Hazard ARH Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife: Becky Campbell; One Daughter: Brianna Grace Campbell; One Son: James Chase Campbell; Two Sisters: Jennifer Campbell & Stephanie J. Campbell; One Brother: Jason R. Campbell and Mother-In-Law: Brenda Stephens.
Visitation will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Maggard’s Mountain View Chapel in Hazard.
Funeral services for James Paul Campbell will follow at 1:00pm Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Maggard’s Mountain View Chapel in Hazard with Mike Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in the Caudill Cemetery at Viper.

Glenna Smith
Glenna Smith, age 89, of Jeremiah, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at the Greg Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.
She is survived by two daughters: Sheree Combs of Paris, Kentucky and Robin Blair of Jeremiah; her daughter-in-law: Glenna Harris of Whitesburg; a sister: Beatrice Crawford of Whitesburg; four grandchildren; Cory Harris, Mac Blair, Katie Blair, and Leah Craft and five great- grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service for Glenna Smith will he held on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at the Pine Mountain Grill.
