Two people are in the hospital following a head-on crash Thursday on US 23 near Rush
Fork.
W.R. Castle Fire-Rescue says multiple agencies responded to help after the vehicles collided around Noon.
One person had to be cut from their car and flown to a hospital while the other went by ambulance.
Responders came from Rockhouse Fire & Rescue, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Paintsville Police, Air Evac Lifeteam 116- from Prestonsburg and the Paintsville/Johnson County Emergency Management.
No names have been released, and police have not yet said what caused the crash.
