Leslie County School Employee Accused of Bringing Firearm to School

A Leslie County elementary school employee has been placed on leave after it was
alleged that they brought a firearm to school.

Leslie County Schools Superintendent Brett Wilson said on social media when officials with Stinnett Elementary heard the allegation they immediately contacted the School Resource Officer, Sheriff’s Office and the Safe Schools Coordinator.

He says no evidence was found to support the presence of a weapon on campus but the employee was put on leave until the investigation is concluded.

Further, he says at no time was a threat made to any student or employee.
