KYTC Announces Road Repair Project Affecting US 119 in Pike County

Heads up for roadwork next week on US 119 in Pike County.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says some bridge repair work is scheduled to begin Monday October 20 on US 119 at Scotts Fork.

They say crews will begin work on the northbound side of the bridge, which is traveling from Pikeville toward South Williamson.

KYTC says during this phase US 119 northbound will be closed between the Phelps/Bent Branch Exit and the Meta Exit.

The detour uses KY-194 to KY-1426, adding about five minutes to your commute.

The work is expected to take several months, well into 2026.
