Jeremiah Man Arrested in Theft of Musical Instruments

A Letcher County man is facing charges in connection with the theft of thousands of
dollars worth of musical instruments and gear from a local store.

Letcher County Sheriff Billy Jones confirmed to the Mountain Eagle that $14,000 worth of guitars and amps were stolen after someone cut a hole in the back of East Kentucky Music Traders.

After getting a tip and then a search warrant, deputies arrested Michael Brandon Mays
of Jeremiah after allegedly finding the items at his home.

He is charged with receiving stolen property along with some drug charges and probation violation warrants.
