A Letcher County man has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for the 2023 murder of
a woman and her unborn child.
Lawrence Halcomb entered a series of pleas to multiple charges Wednesday in Letcher County Circuit Court in connection with the shooting death of Vanessa Halcomb who was pregnant at the time.
WYMT reports Halcomb’s pleas covered several different cases to which he was connected and he also had previous accusations of arson and wanton endangerment involving a former wife.
