Legal Setback Against Former Pike County Attorney in Trial Set to Begin Today

A legal setback for former Pike County county attorney Howard Keith Hall who is set to
go to trial today on accusations of theft of government funds for allegedly hiring and
paying someone who did virtually no work for the county.

The Appalachian News Express reports a judge has ruled that prosecutors may use evidence alleging he had done it before.

In his ruling the judge said evidence of a pattern of behavior is something the prosecution should have an opportunity to try to prove in court.
