A man indicted for manslaughter for a shooting last April says it was self defense.
Last week a Pike County grand jury indicted Paul David Coleman for the shooting that killed Greely Brandon Hurley in a parking lot on KY 319 at US 119.
Kentucky State Police say Hurley and Coleman got into an altercation and a gun was pulled.
The Appalachian News Express reports the attorney for Coleman, who turned himself in on Monday, says Coleman has fully cooperated with the investigation since the incident and trusts the court system will work “fairly and impartially” to see the matter as a self-defense case.
