All four remaining mountain teams in the KHSAA high school football playoffs lost in the state semifinals on Friday night.
In Class A
Raceland got by Pikeville 17-10
In Class 2A
Lexington Christian over Belfry 34-29
In Class 3A
Christian Academy of Louisville beat Bell County 56-20
And in Class 4A
Boyle County edged Corbin 34-33
The Kentucky high school football state Championship games will be played this weekend, Dec. 5-6 at UK’s Kroger Field in Lexington.
On Friday December 5
The Class A state title game will kick off at 12 noon with Raceland taking on KY Country Day.
In the Class 2A game at 4:00pm, Owensboro Catholic will face Lexington Christian.
And at 8:00pm on Friday in the Class 4A championship game, Boyle County will play Franklin County.
The three football state championship games on Saturday December 6 will be:
Class 3A at 12 noon will be Christian Academy of Louisville will battle Murray.
Class 6A will be at 4:00pm will be Louisville Trinity facing South Warren.
And the Class 5A football state championship game will be played at 8:00pm Saturday with Pulaski County will take on Owensboro.
