Kentucky Football Shutout by Louisville to End 5-7 Season

Kentucky Wildcat football was shut out for the first time since 2022 on Saturday as the Cats fell to Louisville 41-0 at L&N Cardinal Stadium.

Louisville shut out Kentucky for the first time since 2004 and it was the Cards’ biggest victory in the history of the Governors Cup series.

It was the season finale for Kentucky. 

They finish the 2025 campaign at 5-7 overall and 2-6 in the SEC. 

It was announced on social media Sunday night that UK Coach Mark Stoops would be let go after 13 seasons at Kentucky with details and the official announcement coming today, Monday.
