The Kentucky high school football state championship games were played Friday and Saturday at Kroger Field in Lexington.
On Friday in the class A championship game, Kentucky Country Day won its first ever football state title beating Raceland 20-16.
In the Class 2A title game Lexington Christian got by Owensboro Catholic 33-28
And in the Class 4A championship game, Boyle County coached by Breathitt County standout Justin Haddix shutout Franklin County 34-0.
The three football state championship games on Saturday.
Class 3A Christian Academy of Louisville won over Murray 42-7
Class 6A had Louisville Trinity beating South Warren 28-14
And the Class 5A football state championship game it was Owensboro over Pulaski County 35-7.
