A Pike County man has been indicted for vehicular homicide in connection with a crash that killed a teenage girl in Prestonsburg last year.
Keith Anderson of Pinsonfork was also indicted by a Floyd County Grand Jury for first-degree assault and operating under the influence for the October 2024 crash on Highway 114 in which 17-year-old Kayla Elam was killed.
At the time of the crash Kentucky State Police said Anderson’s car crossed the center line and slammed into another car driven by Kenny Auxier.
Elam, a passenger in Auxier’s car, died a short time later.
Auxier was also injured.
