James “Ray” Sloce
James “Ray” Sloce, age 77, of Wise, VA, passed away on Sunday December 14th, 2025 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife: Kathy Miles Sloce; one daughter: Regina Sloce; one son: Chris Sloce, a step-son: Sawyer Turner, a sister: Judy Addington and two brothers: Freddie Sloce and J.M. Sloce.
Visitation will be after 6:00pm this evening, Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at the Everidge Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesburg.
Funeral services for James “Ray” Sloce will follow at 7:00pm this evening, Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at the Everidge Funeral Home Chapel.

Marvin Miller, age 82, of Ingram’s Creek, passed away on Sunday December 14th at the Whitesburg ARH.
He is survived by one daughter: Hanna Collier of Linefork; 1 son: Destry Miller of Linefork; 1 sister: Dorothy Cornett of Linefork; 1 brother: Donald Miller of Linefork; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Marvin Miller will be held at 1:00pm this afternoon, Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at the Everidge Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Dixon and others officiating.
Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery at Linefork.

Neil Tackett, age 60, of Virgie, passed away Sunday December 14, 2025, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington.
He is survived by his wife: Sabrina Tackett; one son: Dylan Tackett of Owingsville; one daughter: Madison Tackett of Virgie; three brothers: Quinn Tackett of Virgie, Kenneth Tackett of Jenkins and Greg Tackett of Virgie, and one grandchild; Aurora Tackett.
Visitation will be after 6:00pm this evening, Wednesday, December 17, 2025 and after 6:00pm tomorrow, Thursday, December 18, 2025 at the Hall and Jones Funeral Home at Virgie with services starting nightly at 7:00pm.
Funeral services for Neil Tackett will be held at 1:00pm Friday, December 19, 2025 at the Hall and Jones Funeral Home at Virgie with Arnold Thornsberry and Terry Justice officiating.
Burial will follow in the Tackett and Mullins Cemetery in Jenkins.
