Letcher County is using some federal grants to have engineers study the local streams and waterways with an eye toward flood prevention.
The Mountain Eagle reports the Letcher County Fiscal Court has hired four engineering firms to analyze the area and make recommendations about how best to move forward with flood mitigation.
