Ellen Rose Packard Combs, age 77, of Carcassonne, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025 at the Whitesburg ARH.
She is survived by her husband: Earl Combs; 1 son: Lawrence Combs; 1 daughter: Lisa Combs; 3 brothers: Bryan Packard, Bruce Packard and Ronnie Packard; 5 grandchildren: Matthew Gilliam, Kaitlyn Gilliam, Alex Gilliam, Shelby Combs and Earl Combs and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral services for Ellen Rose Packard Combs will be held at 11:00am this morning, Monday, December 29, 2025 at the Little Bull Creek Church with David Jent, Jim Fields, Greg Mullins and Dean Mullins officiating.
Burial will follow in the Jent Cemetery at Carcassonne.

Fred Holliday, age 80, of Indian Creek, passed away on Wednesday December 24, 2025 at the Pikeville Medical Center.
He is survived by his companion, Janet Burgess; one daughter: Melena Ann Blair of Chavies; one son: James Arnold Holliday of Somerset; 1 sister: Gladys Smith of Stanton; 2 brothers: Johnny Holliday of Viper and Wallace Holliday Semore, Kentucky; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Visitation will be at 10:00am this morning, Monday, December 29, 2025 at the Everidge Funeral Home chapel.
Funeral services for Fred Holliday will follow at 11:00am this morning, Monday, at the Everidge Funeral Home chapel with Tony Brown officiating.
Burial will follow in the Grigsby Cemetery in Perry County.

Melinda Newman, age 59, of Eolia, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington.
She is survived by her husband: Anthony Newman; 3 children: William Newman, Zackary Newman and Angel Newman all of Eolia; 1 brother: David Logan of Colson; 5 sisters: Emma Stephenson and Louise Dennison both of Cincinnati, Deloris Amburgey, Evelyn Collins and Vonda Lowe all of Colson and 7 grandchildren.
Visitation for Melinda Newman will be from 1:00-10:00pm Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
