The Letcher County Central boys and girls basketball teams are both in Florida to playing in after Christmas tournaments.
The Letcher Central Lady Cougars are play in the 35th Annual Daytona Beach Florida Sunshine Classic thru Tuesday.
On Saturday the LCC girls won the first game beating Lake Mary Florida 42-36.
The Lady Cougars will face White County out of Sparta Tennessee in the semifinals tonight (Monday) at 6:00pm.
The championship game will be Tuesday December 30 at 3:00pm.
The Letcher County Central Cougar boys are playing thru Tuesday in the 31st annual Hilton Sandestin Beach Blowout Basketball Tournament at Freeport High School in Florida.
In the Cougar boys first game on Saturday they beat Sand Rock (Leesburg), Alabama 72-49.
The Cougar boys will next face KY’s Ft. Thomas Highlands at 3:00pm this afternoon.
LCC boys will also have a game on Tuesday.
