If you have some time to give blood this week the Kentucky Blood Center says low donor turnout during the holiday season has put a significant strain on the local blood supply.
They say donors of all types, but specifically of type O and A- blood, are needed this week to boost the supply of blood for more than 70 hospitals in Kentucky.
They say their supply of O- and O+ blood are in critical shape and are less than a half day’s supply of both types.
All KBC donor centers are open today and for a half day tomorrow and if you do it by tomorrow they are giving away two movie tickets to a local theater.
