The Kentucky River Regional Animal Shelter has a new transport van.
The Dodge Ram was reportedly a gift from the nonprofit organization Da Vinci’s Dream, which is dedicated to saving and improving the lives of cats and dogs in need in Kentucky.
The Mountain Eagle reports the van will be to transport animals to the vet for shots and
health exams as well as to take animals to rescue organizations in larger towns where the animals may stand a better chance for adoption.
Before getting the van, shelter volunteers were using their own vehicles to transport the animals.
