The Letcher County Sheriff is warning about some apparent scammers recently encountered in the County.
In a social media post they relay the story of a family that had some men show up in a truck at the home of an elderly couple, convince them they needed some paving work done and started the work before explaining it would cost thousands of dollars.
The Sheriff says they are still gathering information, but the doorbell camera did catch an image of a yellow dump truck with West Virginia plates.
