Vera Edith Hall Anderson, age 77, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026.
She is survived by her sisters: Billie L. Fryman and Diane K. Pilkenton along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at 11:00am Saturday February 28, 2026 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services for Vera Edith Hall Anderson will follow at 1:00pm Saturday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.

Joyceleen “Joy” Adams, age 84, of Mayking,, passed away on February 2, 2026, in Fishers, Indiana.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Dean Adams of Mayking; two daughters: Rhonda Shoemaker of Louisville, and Shannon Cox of Fishers, IN; one grandson: Elijah Paul Cox of Fishers, IN; 2 brothers: Randall Kincer of Neon and Stephen Graham Kincer of Mayking, Carolyn June Short of Mayking, Shelia Faye Kincer of Carlisle, KY, Ladonna Irene Kincer of North Carolina and Kimberly Sue Miles of Mayking.
Visitation will be at 12:00 noon Saturday February 28, 2026 at the Cowan Community Center.
A celebration of life for Joyceleen “Joy” Adams will follow at 1:00pm Saturday at the Cowan Community Center.
Burial will follow in the Douglas Day Cemetery on Pine Mountain.

Jonathan Henry Lee Simpson, age 41, of Cumberland, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026.
He is survived by his wife: Kristen Simpson; his son: Julian Simpson; his parents: Mike and Connie Simpson; his brother: Justin Simpson; his grandmother: Joyce Lewis; his uncles: Carlos Lewis, LD Lewis, Steve Simpson, Jeff Simpson; his in-laws, Julia and Rainbo; brother-in-law: Robby; a niece: Julionna and a nephew: Robby.
Visitation will be at 1:00pm this afternoon, Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at the Tri City Funeral Home at Benham.
Funeral services for Jonathan Henry Lee Simpson will follow at 3:00pm this afternoon, Tuesday at the Tri-City Funeral Home with Mitch Huff officiating.
Burial will follow at the Benham Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jon’s memory to the Lynch Country Club.
