The 14th Region girls basketball tournament is down to the final four after two more opening round games last night at the Morton Combs Athletic Complex in Hindman.
Last night in game one, Hazard took care of Wolfe County 61-23 and in game two, Knott County Central won big over Owsley County 57-23.
The girls 14th region tournament semifinals are now set for Friday night.
In the first semifinal game, the Letcher County Central Lady Cougars will take on Estill County at 6:00pm followed by Hazard facing Knott County Central around 7:45pm.

Tipoff is at 6:00pm with the Cougar Countdown Pregame Show beginning at 5:30pm.
The girls 14th Region championship game will be Saturday night at Knott County Central.
The boys 14th region basketball tournament will begin this evening at the Woods Coliseum in Jackson at Breathitt County High School.
Tonight’s two boys opening round games will be Perry County Central against Breathitt County at 6:00pm followed by 53rd District runner up, the Letcher County Central Cougars facing 56th District winner, the Powell County Pirates.

Tipoff will be around 7:45pm with the Cougar Countdown Pregame Show beginning around 7:15pm with Michael Watts and Greg “Bull” Creech.
The other two boys region opening round games on Thursday will be Knott County Central taking on Hazard followed by Lee County facing Wolfe County.
