Peggy Jo Ratliff Childers, age 93, of Whitesburg, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at her residence.
She is survived by two daughters: Donna
Jo Childers of Nicholasville, KY and Missy Matthews of Whitesburg; four
grandchildren: Eli Matthews, Isaac Matthews, Carlie Childers Cornett and Jordan
Childers; and one brother: Ted Ratliff of Thornton.
Visitation will be at 11:00am this morning, Monday, March 9, 2025 at Whitesburg First Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Peggy Jo Ratliff Childers will follow at 1:00pm this afternoon, Monday, at Whitesburg First Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the fueling the future foundation, P.O. Box 430, Whitesburg, KY 41858.

Betty L. Kincer, age 85, of Thornton, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at her residence.
She is survived by: 2 Daughters: Tammy Fugate of Thornton and Stephanie Stidham of Whitesburg; 1 Son: Steven Kincer of Cowan; 1 Brother: Billy Caudill of Atlanta, GA; 5 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00pm Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Whitesburg First Baptist Church.
Funeral Service for Betty L. Kincer will follow at 2:00pm Tuesday at Whitesburg First Baptist Church with Tony Brown and Jensen Riddle officiating.
Burial will follow in the Green Acres Memorial Park Cemetery at Ermine.

Carlos “Papaw” Mullins
Carlos “Papaw” Mullins, age of Dorton, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026, at his residence.
He is survived by wife: Blanche Davis Mullins, three sons; Roger Mullins, Mike Mullins and Freddie Mullins all of Dorton, one sister; Gracie Little of Weeksbury, 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin after 6:00pm this evening, Monday at the Pilgrim’s Prayer Old Regular Baptist Church with services tonight and Tuesday night beginning at 7:00pm.
Funeral services for Carlos “Papaw” Mullins will be held at 11:00am Wednesday March 11, 2026 at the Pilgrim’s Prayer Old Regular Baptist Church at Dorton with Daryl Newsom and others officiating.
Burial will follow in the Clarence Mullins Cemetery at Dorton.

Claudette Watts, age 87 of Hindman passed away on Saturday March 7, 2026, at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard.
She is survived by one son: Tyrone Watts; four Grandchildren and one Great-Grandchild; one Brother: Kenneth Griffie; one Sister: Renavae (Rena-Vae)Malone and Special Friend- Kathleen Cole.
Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00pm this evening, Monday, 6PM-9PM Monday March 9, 2026 at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home Chapel in Hindman with a service this evening at 7:00pm.
Funeral Services for Claudette Watts will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday March 10, 2026 at the Cedar Grove Old Regular Baptist Church at Hallie with Danny Dixon, Ronnie Robinson & Scotty Halcomb officiating.
Burial will follow at the Mountain Memory Gardens in Hindman.
