The Letcher County Central Lady Cougars softball team lost to Eastside VA 12-3 last night at home in the 2026 season opener.
The Lady Cougars will now face defending 15th Region champion Lawrence County, this evening, Friday, at 6:00pm and then take on Shelby Valley at home on Saturday afternoon at 1:00pm.
The Jenkins Lady Cavaliers softball team beat shutout Cordia in both games of a district doubleheader to open the new season last night at Jenkins.
The Jenkins girls will next play Monday at home against Harlan Independent with a game time of 6:00pm.
The Letcher County Central Cougars baseball team will open the season at home this evening, Friday, against Harlan County with first pitch at 6:00pm.
The Cougars will then play at Jenkins in a Saturday afternoon doubleheader against the Cavaliers with the first game at 2:00pm.
