Teonni Key scored 19 points and had 10 rebounds as the fifth-seeded Kentucky women topped fourth-seeded West Virginia 74-73 on Monday night at Hope Coliseum in Morgantown, West Virginia in the Women’s NCAA Basketball Tournament.
Kentucky got 18 points, 15 rebounds and four blocked shots from Clara Strack, while Tonie Morgan had 15 points for the Cats. Kentucky returns to action on Saturday, in the Sweet 16 of the tournament and will face SEC rival and #1 seed Texas in Fort Worth, Texas.
