The Letcher County Central Lady Cougars softball team is continuing to play games all this week in the Cal Ripken Experience at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
In yesterday morning’s game (Wednesday, Scarlett Stamper threw a shutout to lead the Lady Cougars past the Elk Lake Pennsylvania Lady Warriors 7-0. The LCC girls scored three runs in the 4th and three runs in the 5th for the big win.
The Lady Cougars have 3 more games to play in Myrtle Beach. They will play two games today, Thursday, facing Buckeye High School out of Ohio at 11:15am this morning and then take on Northmont High School also from Ohio at 1:30pm this afternoon.
They will wrap up play on Friday with a 9:00 game against Lake Center Christian out of Hartsville, Ohio.
The Jenkins Lady Cavaliers softball team is now 4-1 after shutting out Thomas Walker VA Tuesday evening 10-0 in 5 innings.
They will next play at Jackson City this evening, Thursday, at 6:30pm.
