Letcher County Boy Declared Cancer-Free After Rare Diagnosis

A Letcher County boy diagnosed with a rare skull cancer at the age of four has been declared cancer-free.

Carson Sexton – who just turned five this week – was diagnosed last year with a poorly differentiated chordoma.

His mother Roseanna Sexton tells WYMT Carson underwent 42 radiation treatments over three months in Miami which finished up last month.

He still has a port but that is set to be removed soon after his next scans.

Then in July the family will be going on a Make A Wish trip to Legoland.
