A Magoffin County man was ordered to serve five years in state prison after admitting that he used an electronic device to engage in sexual activities with a child.
Prosecutors claimed that, between may and August of 2024, 29 year old Cory Slusher was using electronic means to contact a young girl.
A grand jury returned an indictment against Slusher a few months later.
Slusher then attempted to flee from Magoffin County to a small town in Ohio, where he was captured by a US Marshall’s fugitive task force.
Last month, Slusher pleaded guilty to the allegation.
