Alice Lloyd College announced the retirement of longtime and legendary Lady Eagles Head Basketball Coach John Mills on Wednesday.
The college also announced the hiring of Brandon Arnold as the new Women’s Head Basketball Coach.
The announcements were made at the Perry Campus Center on “Coach J” Court, home of the Lady Eagles.
Arnold, a 2013 alumnus of Alice Lloyd College, returns to Caney Creek with deep ties to the program. He was a four-year letterman in baseball during his time as a student, he later joined the Lady Eagles coaching staff and was promoted to Associate Head Coach under John Mills. He was also the cross country head coach at ALC.
A native of Blountville, Tennessee, Arnold is a 2008 graduate of Virginia High School and earned his degree from Alice Lloyd College in 2013. His wife, Char-Leigh Craft Arnold, is a Whitesburg native.
