If you have worked in the coal industry there are free health screenings for black lung disease tomorrow in Whitesburg.
The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health will host the screenings Thursday at the Whitesburg Medical/Dental Clinic from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The program is open to all current and former coal miners, including those who worked underground, on the surface, or as contractors.
The process takes about 30 minutes and includes a chest X-ray, breathing test, and a few more things.
Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are accepted. Call (888) 480-4042.
