Two doctors at Pikeville Medical Center have been honored with the UnitedHealthcare Hero Award.
Drs Samuel J. King and Kristi Tackett were given the award that UnitedHealthcare says highlights physicians who demonstrate compassion, innovation and commitment to improving health outcomes in Eastern Kentucky and have a deep understanding of the unique needs of the Appalachian population.
King says the award reflects the collective effort of PMC’s physicians, nurses and support staff.
