Two people from Pike County are facing federal drug charges following their indictment by a federal grand jury.
On Thursday indictments were handed down for Wayne Buzard and Cathy McKinney of Pikeville on several charges including conspiracy to distribute meth.
Buzard is also facing a weapons charge.
They’ve both been in the Pike County Detention Center since they were arrested last month.
The US Attorney’s Office says if they are convicted, the conspiracy alone charge carries a potential prison sentence of between five and 40 years.
They also have possession and distribution charges which carry a maximum 20-year prison sentence.
