Kenneth E. Phillips, age 86 of Eolia, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife: Shirley Priscilla Potter Phillips; 2 sons: Kenneth Brandon Phillips of Eolia and Brooks Gabriel Phillips of China Grove, North Carolina; 1 brother: Hoyt Phillips of Blacksburg, Virginia; 1 sister: Ella Cromer of Blacksburg, Virginia and 7 grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 6:00pm this evening, Friday, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services for Kenneth E. Phillips will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, May 2, 2026 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Ray Jones officiating.
Burial will follow in the Phillips Family Cemetery at Eolia.

Jerry Wayne Bentley, age 82, of Millstone, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Whitesburg ARH.
He is survived by his wife: Rose Baker Bentley; 3 children: Jerry Wayne Bentley of Louisville, Audra Bentley of Smyrna, Georgia and Kelly Holbrook of Gallatin, Tennessee; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Jerry Wayne Bentley will be held at 1:00pm this afternoon, Friday, May 1, 2026, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Bentley Cemetery at Millstone.

Bobby D. Shepherd, age 73, of Cornettsville, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington.
He is survived by 4 Sisters: Opha Shepherd of Little Leatherwood, Carol Ison of Little Leatherwood, Lana Lee of South Carolina & Lorean Dickson of Letcher County; Two Brothers: Burnis Shepherd of Little Leatherwood & Eli Shepherd of Letcher County.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 2, 2026 at the Maggard Mountain View Chapel in Hazard.
Funeral services for Bobby D. Shepherd will follow at 2:00pm Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Maggard Mountain View Chapel in Hazard with Michael Berryman officiating.
Burial will follow in the Shepherd Riddle Cemetery at Little Leatherwood.
