The practices of a Magoffin County nursing home are being called into question for allegedly leaving residents in bed for so long they developed pressure sores that led to serious injury and, in many cases, death.
A 2025 inspection into Salyersville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center found falsified records and “immediate jeopardy violations.”
Several lawsuits have been opened against the facility, with at least 11 claiming malnutrition, unexplained broken bones and deadly infections.
The owners are denying liability.
