Hester Blair Back, age 78 of Blackey, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard.
She is survived by her husband: Ronnie Back; 1 son: Byron Wakefield Back of Martinsville, Indiana; 2 brothers: Herman Blair and Comman (Cole-man) Blair; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 11:00am Tuesday June 30, 2026 at the Mt. Olivet Old Regular Baptist Church at Blackey.
Funeral services for Hester Blair Back will follow at 1:00pm Tuesday, at the Mount Olivet Old Regular Baptist Church with Danny Dixon and Jim Fields officiating.
A private burial will follow.

Mary Wright Kincer
Mary Wright Kincer, age 92, of Huntsville, Alabama, formerly of Whitesburg passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at the Haven Hospice Center of Florida.
She is survived by Two Daughters: Margaret Ann Johnson Hill of Hillard, Florida and Samara R. Shafer of India Lantie, Florida; 2 sisters: Waughletia Little of Whitesburg and Diana’s Brown of Louisville; 6 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren, 6 Step-Grandchildren and 4 Step-Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be this evening, Monday, from 7:00–8:30pm at the Everidge Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesburg.
Funeral Services for Mary Wright Kincer will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday June 30, 2026 at the Whitesburg First Baptist Church with Tony Brown officiating.
Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.

Wanda Brashear, age 87, of Viper, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Hazard ARH.
She is survived by One Daughter: Paula Caudill of Viper; One Brother: Quinten Combs of Lexington; Two Grandchildren: Lee Hall & Jamie Caudill and Three Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 11:00am Tuesday at the Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel in Hazard.
