WHITESBURG, Ky. — Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College has launched the Promise Scholars Program in partnership with Partners for Rural Impact to help recent graduates of Letcher County Central High School make a successful transition to college.
The summer bridge program gives students an early start on developing academic, personal and career readiness skills through the college’s first-year experience course.
The inaugural class includes 20 students and is designed to strengthen college success while preparing participants for future careers and workforce opportunities in Eastern Kentucky.
